Nowadays you can buy any item or service online. Many businesses have realised this and if they don’t keep up with the times they will be left behind. However with a product this is admired in person how does shopping online or receiving a bespoke service actually work in order for you to feel comfortable with what you are buying? Because lets be honest, at a company like Iona Buxton Jewellery you are going to be laying down a lot of money potentially having only seen pictured and exchanging emails.
A LOT MORE SERVICE
Not all jewellery stores will offer a bespoke service (or at least not truly bespoke). Many will have a large choice of stock to sell and sometimes as much as they may have, the right piece for you may not be there. Some will offer to swap out stones such as changing the sapphire in a ring for a diamond or make you the same ring but in white gold or platinum. However, this in my opinion, isn’t truly bespoke. Bespoke is starting from scratch, creating something that is completely different. It may contain elements of other rings you like, but the idea is that it’s completely new. Some online jewellers operate in a similar way, so make sure who ever you choose that it’s right for you.
CONSTANT COMMUNICATION
As an online jeweller, we almost have something to prove. Of course, when it comes to purchasing something online that is a large amount of money, it can be nerve wrecking sending all that cash to someone you have never met. Because of this communication is key whether that is being on emails, whatsapp or frequent zoom calls. We go above and beyond to make sure you are 100% happy with everything. Meeting in person and viewing stones and jewellery is never off the cards but sometimes isn’t possible depending on everyone's location and timings.
CAN ASK MORE QUESTIONS
Many people nowadays feel like in person they aren’t able to ask as many questions and feel more comfortable communicating online. Knowing what you are buying, whether online or in person, is vital and if this if this method of communication appeals to you then this may be the route for you.
MORE ACCESSIBLE
With online companies, and in particular Iona Buxton Jewellery, just because the Google opening times are stated, it doesn’t mean that communication only works during those hours. Being predominately online means that communication can be flexible and catered to your timings and busy life.
YOU SAVE TIME
If you are happy largely communicating online for your consultations it also means you can save a lot of time. It takes away the need to travel back and forth to a shop for consultations, which sometimes can be a few trips depending if the design is constantly needing tweaks. You can list all your questions in an email or text and send when most convenient. The designs and drawings are done exactly the same online as they are in person, so you will be receiving the same service in that regard.
MORE TRUSTWORTHY
OK, so hear me out! This is not the same for all online sites, we are all aware on online scams and they are increasing by the year in all industries. Winning your trust and being trustworthy company is of the upmost importance. One of the ways we like to do this is to have zoom calls in order for you to put a face to the name and have a personal touch. Iona Buxton is registered as self-employed and you are able to see and leave reviews on Google to know she is a ‘real’ person. I builds trust on social media by showing my face and being open and honest in my communication about all things jewellery related. It’s important that you feel comfortable when picking your bespoke jeweller, largely due to the amount of money you are spending! You also want to make sure that they see your vision and that it is executed correctly.
If you feel that Iona Buxton is the right fit for you or if you have any questions then don’t hesitate to get in touch.
