Bespoke Jewellery with Iona
For the ones who want to get it right
Whether you’re planning a surprise proposal, remodelling a family heirloom, or creating something just for you, I know this piece is more than just ‘bespoke jewellery’.
You don’t need to know all the terms or have a full design in mind. Bring me your notes, your saved posts, the story behind it all. I’ll help you transform your scribbles into something special.
We’ll meet virtually (way more personal than a shop floor, I promise), take it at your pace, and design a piece that feels unmistakably them. Or you.
You’re not here to make do. You’re here to make it meaningful.
How it works
Bespoke, without the guesswork
This isn’t a shop-floor sale, it’s a conversation. One that ends with something you’ll love deeply and pass down with pride.
My Bespoke Jewellery Services
So, tell me. What are we designing today?

Bespoke Engagement Ring
You’ve been thinking about this for a long time and want to get it right.
Not just for the proposal photo, but for the times they sneak a look at their hand while you’re out for dinner.
You’ve braved heading into a fine jewellery store with screenshots in hand. Prepared, you’re excited to get an expert’s advice… Right until they lead you towards the pre-designed shelf where you can’t tell the difference between the £2,000 and £20,000 ring. Beautiful, but you know it’s not what she wants…
This is where I come in. I’ll help you piece together the subtle suggestions, the blurry screenshots, the moodboards and memories.
Together, we’ll design a ring that will mean as much to them as they mean to you.
“I have used Iona many times to create some beautiful, timeless pieces, from necklaces to earrings, and she also designed my engagement ring.”

Bespoke Jewellery
You’ve got something special in mind, a birthday gift, an anniversary piece, a just-because moment, but finding a bespoke jeweller who gets your vision feels harder than it should be.
You’ve browsed online shops, even tried to explain your idea in-store, only to be shown catalogue pieces and told it’s “just as nice.” But you don’t want ‘nice’, you know what you want doesn’t exist on a shelf. It’s something uniquely you.
Whether it’s a stone you’ve been saving, a quiet detail only the two of you would recognise, or just a feeling you can’t quite name, we’ll turn that into something meaningful.
No industry jargon. Just a collaborative process that makes you feel heard, understood, and most of all, excited.
You’ll walk away with more than a beautiful piece. You’ll have a story wrapped around your finger, your wrist, or close to your heart. Designed to be worn today and cherished for decades.
“Her advice and guidance are invaluable, and she was able to source the most beautiful stones from diamonds to sapphires.”

Jewellery Remodelling and Repair
You’ve inherited something full of meaning, but not something you’d actually wear.
It’s been sitting in a drawer, too sentimental to part with, too outdated to feel like you. You’ve thought about having it redesigned, but something’s held you back. Guilt? Fear of getting it wrong? Not knowing if it’s even possible?
I get it. I’ve been there. And I promise, this doesn’t have to be a goodbye to the original.
Together, we’ll honour its essence while crafting something that feels more aligned with your story today. A ring from your mum, a brooch from your grandmother, or even a collection of odds and ends. We can set something new while keeping a homage to the original piece and owner.
We’ll take it slow. I’ll walk you through your options, no pressure or rush. This is about more than a redesign. It’s about making sure those memories live on in something you’ll reach for every day, not just on special occasions.
Client Love Story
F&S
F reached out from Australia with a big request.
To design the perfect engagement ring for his partner, S, from the other side of the world.
He wanted something timeless, with a nod to her Scottish heritage. After a few back-and-forths (and a lot of ideas over WhatsApp), we landed on a classic three-stone design with a soft, curved setting – a subtle nod to Celtic knotwork. Inside, we engraved her family motto, a personal touch that made the piece even more meaningful.
Despite the time difference (and F’s hectic shifts as a doctor), we made it work entirely online, with no detail lost along the way.
S said “YES!” on one of their favourite mountain treks.
A moment they’ll never forget, and a piece she’ll wear forever.

How much does it cost to get a custom piece of jewellery made?Prices vary depending on the materials, size, and design, but bespoke doesn’t always mean out of reach. I work with a range of budgets and can tailor your design accordingly. Consultations are always free, so you’re welcome to chat before making any decisions.
-
Is custom jewellery worth it?If you want something that feels meaningful, personal, and made to last, then yes. You’re not just buying a ring, you’re investing in a piece of your story.
-
Is bespoke jewellery more expensive than the high street? Not necessarily. With high street jewellers, you’re often paying for brand markups. Bespoke lets you put your budget where it matters – into craftsmanship, design, and materials. I’ll help you create the best possible piece within your budget, no upsell.
-
How much does it cost to reset a ring in the UK?Resetting costs can vary depending on the stones, metal, and design complexity, but it’s usually less than commissioning a brand-new piece. I offer complimentary consults so you can find out what’s possible – no pressure.
-
How much should I spend on an engagement ring?Forget the old “3 months’ salary” rule. The right amount is what feels right for you. I work with clients at a range of price points and can guide you toward something beautiful and meaningful within your budget.
-
Where do I buy an engagement ring?If you’re after something that feels personal (and not cookie-cutter), consider going bespoke. Whether you know exactly what you want or are starting with a vague idea, I can help you bring it to life.
-
How do I choose an engagement ring?Start with what matters most to your partner – their style, lifestyle, and the stories you share. In our consultation, I’ll ask the right questions to help you figure out what they’ll love (and wear for life).
-
How do I pick an engagement ring if I don’t know their style?Don’t worry – most of my clients are in the same boat. I’ll help you read between the lines of subtle hints, screenshots, and stories. We can even involve a trusted friend or family member if needed.
-
Are coloured engagement rings a thing?Absolutely. Sapphires, emeralds, tourmalines, and more – they’re growing in popularity and offer so much room for personal meaning. Whether you want something bold or subtly unique, I’ll help you explore the options.
-
What coloured stones can you use in engagement rings? There’s a wide range: sapphires (which come in many colours), spinels, tourmalines, and even antique diamonds with a soft champagne hue. We’ll look at stones that are both beautiful and durable enough for everyday wear.
-
What should I do with a deceased parent’s wedding rings? This is such a personal decision. Some people choose to keep the ring as is. Others find comfort in remodelling it into something wearable – a pendant, a stacking ring, or even a new engagement ring. I can help guide you through what’s possible and what feels right.
-
What’s the etiquette for inherited jewellery? There’s no one rule. If it’s been passed to you, you have the right to wear or redesign it as you choose. That said, I know this comes with emotion and sometimes family dynamics. I’m always happy to talk through your options and help you handle it with sensitivity.
-
How do you repurpose inherited jewellery? We start with a no-pressure consult where you show me the piece and tell me the story behind it. From there, I’ll suggest ways we can retain its sentiment, whether that’s using the same stones, reworking the metal, or subtly nodding to the original design.
-
Can you have old jewellery made into new?Yes. This is exactly what I do through my remodelling service. I take the stones and metal from a piece you’ve inherited or no longer wear, and turn it into something that feels more you, while still holding onto the meaning it carries.
